Discipleship
Discipleship consists of three interconnected circles:
- Scripture (Books of the Bible)
- Praxis (How you are living your life)
- Heart (Tending to your/others' heart)
If you take away praxis and heart, you have a Bible study. DNA groups are not Bible study.
We each tend to have a strong preference of one vs another. This can vary in seasons of our lives as well.
- Scripture + Praxis = Self-righteousness
- Scripture + Heart = Therapeutic, not not transformational
- Praxis + Heart = Social movement, TED talk
Question: Which circle do you tend to gravitate towards? How can you grow in the other two?
